I transformed into total teenage fan girl when I got tickets to the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour this past October. I love Taylor Swift! I love her in interviews (yes, I really do believe she is that kind and genuine), I love her girl posse (yes, I am just a tad bit jealous) and her new 1989 album was one of her best in my opinion. After going to every single one of her shows in Atlanta over the past few years, I knew the entertainment value was always mind blowing. Plus, I wanted to see her special guest!
This was a sold out show of 59,000 screaming girls all dressed to the nines in sequins, light up skirts and costumes. I chose to wear something fun, mildly retro and slightly country to this concert extravaganza. I am absolutely loving all of the Fall texture trends this season so when pairing this ultra soft suede fringed top with the perfect pants, I chose velvet. Maroon velvet! These leggings were a steal and are not only comfy and warm, but super festive and unique. I added a pop of color with a turquoise statement necklace, threw on a gold arm band for some extra funk, and played up the country vibe with brown knee high boots. Even though I was probably the oldest person there without children, I had the time of my life!
I chose velvet & suede…what’s your favorite unexpected fabric combination?
