Award season is here and as always was kicked off with the Golden Globes! In true Golden Globes style we got highly offensive and crude humor from none other than Ricky Gervais himself, lots of heavily intoxicated stars and FINALLY a coveted Leo DiCaprio win! All jokes, awkward moments and acceptance speech tears aside, the fashion and beauty is what I am always after when turning in to any red carpet event, especially such a notorious award show as the Golden Globes. With that said, I have compiled 10 of my favorite looks from this years’ event!
Atelier Versace Dress & Neil Lane Jewelry
I love this color on Amy Adams! The orange with her auburn hair is stunning, not to mention the beaded waist band with cascading beads create the most perfect slimming silhouette. Her loose curls and flawless makeup are the icing on the cake!
Jenna Dewan Tatum
Zuhair Murad Collection Gown
Jenna Duwan Tatum can do no wrong in my eyes, from her style to her husband! This navy, sequined gown is stunning. I am also a huge fan of the simple jewelry. The fact that she didn’t put a necklace with this V-neck, and instead donned simple diamond earrings, draws more attention to the gown and her beautiful face!
Jennifer LawrenceDior dress & Chopard Jewelry
Another star who I absolutely adore is Jennifer Lawrence. This look is flawless. Cut outs are totally in vogue and this red, structured, piece exemplifies her young, fun personality. The diamond choker necklace is a perfect accent piece to jazz up the simplicity of the gown.
Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, Harry Winston Jewelry & Jimmy Choo Shoes
Jennifer Lopez is the epitome of ravishing in this years Golden Globes look. I mean is she really 46? Yellow on the red carpet is an exciting choice and even with the modest top of the gown, the slit creates the perfect amount of sexiness. Her classic hair style, simple makeup and bold lip complete this cohesive look.
Michael Kors Collection, Forever Mark Jewelry & Jimmy Choo Bag
I love this look for several reasons. (1) The color- You can’t go wrong with blush! (2) It’s fun, bold, young and totally untraditional for the Globes. (3) Kate Hudson’s body was made for this MK 2 piece.
Elizabeth Kennedy Gown
Laverne Cox looks like a goddess in this white Elizabeth Kennedy Gown. I am a huge fan of white on the red carpet and this high neck gown with an elegant sweeping train looks stunning on her. Her side swept up-do, maroon lip and pop of color with the emerald chandelier earrings, complete this gorgeous red carpet look.
Marchesa Gown & Harry Winston Jewelry
Lily James has managed to create a look with equal parts sweet and spicy in the process. This flowing, soft Marchesa gown is the epitome of Grecian elegance, while her smoldering smoky eye makeup, natural lip color and soft, center parted waves kick the look up another notch to sexy!
Michael Kors Collection, Forevermark Jewelry & Jimmy Choo Bag
When you think of Hollywood hot, you have to think of Olivia Wilde and she did not disappoint at this years’ Globes. This fully beaded Michael Kors Collection halter dress is stunning in maroon! The waist band and plunging neckline is impeccable on Olivia’s slim figure. Her glam squad rocked this look creating the perfect plum eyes and effortless beach waves.
Can Rosie be any more striking? She even looks like a trophy! The gold color of this Atelier Versace gown was the perfect choice paired against her tan skin. The beading and flowing train create the perfect elegant look, while the low neck line and thin straps play up her youthful appearance. The middle part, loose wave trend at this years Globes looks ideal on Rosie, completing this gorgeous ensemble.
Narciso Rodriguez Gown, Martin Katz Jewelry & Rauwolf Bag
Sophia Bush is adorable! She totally played up her elegance with this look, choosing a classic black gown and slicked back up do. Her face makeup is stunning and bold red lip takes classic to a whole other level. This empire waist Narciso Rodriguez gown fits Sophia like a glove, and gorgeous diamond necklace completes the polished look.
Which stars made your list? Here’s to more fashions, more beauty and more red carpets!
